The B. Pertussis Serology test measures specific antibodies in the blood that develop in response to Bordetella pertussis infection. It helps doctors understand whether a person has had a recent or previous exposure to whooping cough. This test is particularly useful when diagnosing prolonged cough in adolescents and adults. It may also be used to support clinical diagnosis when other tests are not suitable.

What the Test Measures
